19-year-old sues school after graduating without knowing how to read or write.

 A 19-year-old woman from Connecticut has taken legal action against her former public high school, claiming the institution failed her by allowing her to graduate with honours despite her severe literacy struggles.


Aleysha Ortiz completed her studies at Hartford Public High School in June last year, earning an honours diploma and even securing a college scholarship. However, she is now suing the school for negligent infliction of emotional distress, alleging that she was denied a proper education. Ortiz asserts that her reading ability is equivalent to that of a first-grader and that she can barely hold a pencil properly.

  The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed that 40 lives have been lost to the ongoing cholera and meningitis outbreaks in parts of the country. As health authorities work urgently to contain the situation, private stakeholders, including Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, have stepped in to support the fight by donating essential medical supplies.   A six-year-old girl, Ella, fatally shot a 28-year-old American police officer last month after witnessing her mother being restrained by law enforcement. The incident occurred when Ella’s mother left her inside the car and went into a supermarket to purchase a 75-inch television. After completing her purchase, she was stopped at the store’s exit and asked to present her receipt, as per store policy. However, she couldn’t find it despite searching everywhere.
